Mr. Frank Harris, Jr.

Frank Harris, born to the late Frank L. Harris and Ann Dixon on January 26, 1935, peacefully transitioned from this life on March 18, 2025 at home. He was preceded in death by his children, Frank Jones and Stephanie Montgomery, and his brother, Earl Harris. A man of great faith, Frank was a member of Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church No. 2, where he lived out his beliefs with sincerity and dedication. He was a skilled and respected longshoreman with Local 1410, known for his work ethic, strength, and precision. Outside of his professional life, Frank found great joy in fishing, a hobby that provided him with peace and fulfillment. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Cheryl Harris, whose unwavering support, love, and care were a tremendous part of his life. Her devotion to him, especially in his final days, will forever be remembered. In addition to his beloved wife, Frank is survived by his children: Frank Harris Jr., Gary (Michelle) Harris, Lionel Harris, Robert (Angela) Harris, and Susan Jordan; his devoted grandchild, Morgan Coleman; six brothers-in-law: George (Sue Ellen) Bolden, Bennie (Rose) Bolden, Wayne Edwards, Willie Edwards III, Michael Bolden, and Timothy Bolden, who was especially devoted to him; one cherished sister-in-law, Yasmin (Myron) Knight; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family members and friends. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at USA Hospital, Gentiva Hospice, Empatia Palliative Care, the Wound Care Centers at Providence and Springhill Hospitals, Fresenius Kidney Care Azalea City, Wave Transit, Shamarion Rivers, owner of Golden Touch Sitting Service LLC, , Dr. R. Sellors Meador of Nephrologist Associates, Dr. Garrett McClenny, MD, Shalyn Miller, NP, Shanita Peoples, NP, and Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church No. 2 for their unwavering care and support. Though he is no longer with us, Frank’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him—especially Cheryl, whose love for him will continue to be an enduring source of strength and inspiration. May Frank Harris Jr rest in eternal peace.
