Mr. Willie Thomas

Willie Thomas Jr. was born January 13, 2004, at Children and Women Hospital in Mobile, Alabama. He left this world way too soon on March 11. 2023, but left a mark no one could deny. He was a kind and thoughtful soul and will be missed by the many lives he touched. Willie attended W.D. Robbins, John Will Elementary Schools, Grand Bay and Scarborough Middle Schools. Mr. Thomas was on track to graduate in May 2023 as a Blount Mighty Leopard where he played Point Guard during his senior year. He was a leader both on and off the court. Willie was a people person. He loved hanging out with friends and family. Relationships were significant to him, and he vested time into nurturing them. Sometimes it was playful dance offs in the middle of the street with his sister and cousins. Other times it was sleepover with his brother from another mother: Moochie. They would spend countless nights over one another's house. There was always lots of food, laughter, and video games. His favorite video game was NBA 2K23 where he would showcase his basketball moves, on the big screen and talk lots of trash with his best friend Moochie. He aspired to be a part of the maritime service as an offshore seaman. He would go-on-on about his dreams of being on the water and away at sea. This was his desire to give back to his community through the shipping and cargo industry. Willie was proceeded in death by his grandfather Clarence Stallworth Sr., uncle Nelson Thomas, Donnie Beaver, and Rodney Thomas, Michael Thomas. He leaves to cherish, his devoted parents Mr. and Mrs. Willie (Jessica) Thomas, and sister Jakeira Thomas. Willie's grandparents are Harold and Ethel Mae Thomas and Dorthy Pritchett. His loving aunts and uncles are Geneva Sanders, Teresa (Emmitt) Norwood, Vernese (Eric) Lucas, Sheri Pritchett, Michael Stallworth, Cleveland Stallworth, Mattie Stallworth, Patricia Stallworth, Josephy Stallworth, Ruby Stallworth, Willie Thomas Sr., Willie Mae Thomas, Patricia (Jimmy Mose) Austin, Sandra Moore Cooper, John (Belinda) Bridges, Bobby Bridges and Sadie (Timothy) Carter, Vanessa (Lyndell) Weeks Henderson, Ronnie (Renea) Moore, Kalvin (Laneisha) Moore, Rhonda Bailey Smith, Harold Moore, Sonya (Thaddius) Davis, Charlene) Thomas, Sonja Thomas, Clifton Thomas, and Rhonda Mosely. His God Parents were Antionette (Latious) Lamar and Charles Lee. God of love and life, you gave Willie Thomas Jr. to us as our son. Give us now the assurance that though he has passed from our sight, he has not passed from your care. Draw near to us in our sadness, bring blessing out of grief, and help us in our tears and pain to know you stand alongside us and to experience your love and healing, through Christ our Lord.
